Does this help?

www.homemusician.net/arti...ates_page1.html

I personally user Audition and it has a default template I setup with the basics (drums, scratch vox/guitar). I start with that but when working with a band I usually modify it and call it *band*template.

thanks i know about the templates already, but i like to start my projects blank cause most of the times i just start it to make a beat, so i just do simple synth instrument tracks with vstis to start a project, and then sometimes i might want to add some bass or guitar so then i add a audio track and when i add an audio track there is no input set and i have to set it each time a make a new track which isnt all that terrible really, but most of the time i just track from the first pre of my layla3g, so i just thought there would be a way to set it to that channel for each audio track i make...... like in cubase sx 3, it used to always start with that channel...... thanks still

There might be a mod you can do to the .ini file. I'll take a look sometime this weekend and see if I can figure it out. Otherwise they might have something in the faq section at www.cakewalk.com

Actually, I think that's the ONE thing that the templates cant keep standard within them.

Weird.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure...

Ya, I think the only thing is if it can be modded in the initialization file. But again, not sure if that is an option yet or not.
