The Arizona game was really good, I only caught the second half, but what a game...Pittsburgh/Baltimore was good defensive football, obviouslyl some offensive highlights, but I was most entertained by the D.

I am glad to see AZ in the bowl, but Pittsburgh will crush them. Palamalu will put a good blow on their deep ball and the pass ruch will be fast and heavy on Warner, which often doesn't seem to faze him, but it will when his deep ball is not there.

polamalu had some big plays. i watched most of the nfc too, but i missed the third, as i was driving. thought philly might come back for a while there.

i can't know that pitt will crush them. the cards creamed pitt last year. whisenhunt ran the pittsburgh offense in 2005, as the OC. grimm is on the coaching staff. four big pitt people are in coaching there, and they know how we work.

i'm cool though. i just wanted to win this one.

Can you believe the hitting in the Ravens/Steelers game?

Nobody wants to see anybody get hurt (glad McGahee is OK), but that hit on him was crushing. Clark was laying on the ground hitting the sides his helmet for a while after the collision (trying to get rid of that "DONGGGGGG" sound, possibly). I do like to see hard hitting in a game.

Gonna have to check the highlight reels for the big bone crunchers.

Mitch Berger saved a TD with a tremendous open-field tackle (and strip...) on a punt return. Hit the guy like a linebacker. No 'passengers' on the Steelers team.

Didn't hear Ray Lewis' name much during the game. I know he was in there, but one gets used to hearing his name all night.

Polamalu was great, as usual, and Woodley was a monster.

If it wasn't for the two pass interference calls, I don't think the Raven would have scored at all.

Like Forty, I'm not convinced that the Cardinal don't have a very good game plan for the Steelers.

Can you say, "BLITZ"?

Yeah, Berger's tackle was awesome, that really brought a smile to my face, ya don't see a punter do that very often.

Palamalu is always awesome, far and away my fav Steeler besides Tomlin...I dunno who it was that Ivy hit on the sideline run right after he dropped a sure touchdown himself, but he crushed that poor bastard!

It was smashmouth football at it's finest, for sure.

So, dB.... When can the Vikings take McNabb? Soon I hope? How's tomorrow?

I'll be fighting it, man, he didn't look good yesterday at all, a couple shiny, happy moments, but not many.

That was Sweed - the rookie who dropped a certain TD as he took his eyes off the ball to watch himself looking 'cool' on the magnotron.

Redemption. Yes, he hit Ivy so f***ing hard! That was one of the best hits.

Not 100% sure that the Cardinals can play "that" kind of smashmouth. Not many NFC teams can/do.

Ravens/Browns (Same thing)? Meh. Five games, five wins.

Didn't look good? Did he even show up?

They held the Giants to almost under a 100 yards last week. And the Cards run right threw them? Not one turn over by the defense.

But, that how the Eagles play. They do killer in some games. And then fall apart on others. Can't wait to get rid of McDisaster!

yeah sweed was the other big hit on the sideline. i hope they keep him around. he tends not to make catches, but it can take a while to get rid of the nerves. sweed was a high draft pick for us this year. he is the tall receiver ben had asked for. he hasn't played in too many games--he was in because ward was taken out. first the missed catch in this clip, then the sideline hit...

one of the ravens is recommending that the cards not try to blitz ben:

""If you chase him, he just gets to play sandlot football. That’s what he likes. He wants you to rush him so he can run around and make plays. Their whole team wants to rush him, because their offensive linemen, uh, really aren’t that hard to beat. And that’s when they get you in trouble.

"Just back off and keep him in the pocket and make him play regular football. Not recess. You’ll have a better chance."

i'm glad the pitt fans applauded mcgahee. that moment brought a sort of a pall over the room. kevin everett flashbacks.
