Just like to take a brief moment and thank all the vets of the US armed services, and all those serving right now at home and overseas.

We as Americans all owe a lot to ya, and sometimes it just isn't said enough.

So, hats off to ya.

And the new death metal guy here as well, DominionExodus. I've been checking his stuff out the mixing. He has a couple of video's of playing in his barracks, kinda cool really. He is a Marine by the way.

i would like it more if we thanked troops by celebrating how they are successfully doing what they enlisted to do: hurt bad guys.

thanks troops for being brave and hurting the bad guys.

doesn't that feel better than to focus too much on the sacrifice and loss aspects?

Yeah, blowing stuff up was great! Nothing beats blowing up an entire grid square off the map. (A grid square is 1 kilometer by 1 kilometer.)

The Iraqies had their whole ammo dump in this one region. We came in and packed it with around 500 pounds of C4. The place exploded for over 6 hours.

That was fun!

I was in Civil Air Patrol doesn't that count?

Just kidding. I couldn't even march without either getting left and right mixed up or marching into the guy in front of my when I wasn't paying attention and didn't hear the "halt" command. Our squad was akin to Bill Murray's squad in Stripes. Only younger and dumber.

I think that America is safer since I chose the career path of a computer geek instead of an enlisted man.

Here's a belated cheers to all those HRCers who do or have served our country.

...beyond grips, tokens, symbolism and allegory and all that, the Masons and their appendent bodies (Scottish Rite, York Rite, Shriners, etc) do a lot of good in the world. I'm proud to be a small part of it.

Anyway, back on topic...vets, you guys rock.

I called my grandpa. Pretty sad when the guy has over 30 extended family but only one of them calls him to say happy veteran's day.

He was an Army scout in WWII.

Noize, Tuna would have died and gone to heaven. We had to stay until all of the explosions where done. Then go in and make sure all was destroyed. Not the fun part.

Hey dB, I found a rock. But, it wasn't perfect. But it was beautiful. And then it spoke, and said, but who will give shelter to a poor widows son? =p

No - Seriously!

Long story short -- I get called on frequently to do FOH at a local performing arts facility for their "higher caliber" events - The tech crew there is pretty tight-knit and we joke around a lot. Some phony "flashes" (etc., etc.) to keep the visiting crews on their toes.

Once I made a two-handed flash and said "WORD..." to one of the gals and then brought my hands together and it looked freakishly like a Masonic symbol - So, I added "To the Freemasons!" -- And it's been a staple ever since.

Ya, he would have. It sounds like they are going to give him a permanent profile as both his knees have small stress fractures and he will have to do a 2.5 mile walk to pass the PT this time. He says the walk at bliss is harder then the 2 mile run was at Lost in the Woods.

I'm gonna post his email addy in talking smack later tonight or tomorrow. I'll put up his new mailing addy as well. Just got it a week ago and been slacking on getting it up.
