If anyone didn't catch the news of it, Rick Wright, 65, died of cancer in his home in Britian.
He was the keyboard player and co-founder of the band Pink Floyd.
I'll miss his music. :(

Sep 15, 2008 04:02 pm RIP Great One .
I finer keys-man there was not .
Sep 15, 2008 04:23 pm Wow, that's a real bummer. The guys I work with were just talking about the last David Gilmore tour. (We own the rig that they used for that tour.)
We were all surprised when the lights first started to fade up, and you could clearly see that Rick was behind the keys.
Very sorry to hear of the mans passing :(
Sep 15, 2008 04:24 pm Yeah, that sucks...RIP.

Sep 15, 2008 06:07 pm yes, a very sad day indeed. His music will live on however. That is something we all can take comfort in is knowing that after we are gone our music can live on to be charished by those we left behind.
...I'm thinking it is time to write a new song.

Sep 15, 2008 11:01 pm Quite a shock when I heard the news today. I'm sure he's part of it now:
"The great gig in the sky" (Wright)
Dark Side Of the Moon
And I am not frightened of dying.
Any time will do, I don't mind.
Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it.
You've gotta go sometime.
I never said I was frightened of dying.
