Well, we don't 'need' another mixer, but my ub2442fxpoo has dropped a couple of channels, and with the subs and mains on our TM-D1000, we only get 6 sends to the compy, so... This appears to be an 8-bus mixer, but I've not worked with one of these Behris, in particular .

Can anyone vouch for this model one way, or another ?

heh
Thanks CynicEidolon .

Well, my last Behri did the job fine for the last four years or so, but smoking in the studio has taken it's toll . Even though Behris gear is, cheaply made, I've not had any problems with it that I didn't cause myself, and the sound quality is good enough for me . I'd get another 2442, but if the model on Craigs List is ok, I'd consider it instead . Let's face it, I'm not going to find an 8-bus mixer for anywhere near that price that isn't a Behri . That said, if someone has owned one of those, and has had major issues with it, I'd love to know before I reach for my wallet .

Lol, zek...

I work at a music store here in SA and an idea I express to everyone...

Find a small ma-pa music store that repairs things and ask them if they have anything that hasn't been picked up and is in their way. We have a 48 channel Soundcraft with 8 bus or something like that. If someone will pay for the repair done on it, they'd part with if cause it's been there over a year.

Hue, Behringer is not all that bad.

I use an MX3282a which has 32 channels and 8 buss. It works fine and has been serving me for years without fail.

Hell, my old 2442a had a full can of Coke dumped into the sub out section and it ended up working better after that. But I needed to the extra channels so I dumped it for this one.

For me here it works a charm with all the synths and such. Not as noisey as some might think. But then again, I take care of my gear as well.

BH: 16 d/o's ?!? I didn't see that . Hell, I'll take two ! : p

Noize: That's what I thought, but was hoping for a bit more insight on that particular model . The guy didn't even mention which model it is, so I couldn't simply go to Harmony Central, which usually what I'd do to check out a piece of used gear . I figured someone who owned one would be able to recognize it pretty readily, and make a usable statement on it .

Behris not bad gear, as long as you don't treat it like you 'could' treat a Mackie or the like .

Thanks, just the same guys .
