My software supports 64bit Vista, and the Motu 896MK3 on order also supports it. Am going to pick me up a laptop with Vista64 so I can have 4GB+ RAM for my mobile tracking solution. Also gonna upgrade my desktop to 64 and cramn as much as it will take in there. No more 32 bit computers for me, soo.... wish me luck :) It might be a scary ride.

Well in vista's defense I have been running 32 bit for about a year now. If you can't trust motu and adobe to write 64 bit support who can you trust? But really, yeah I'm scared, but as it happens I am indeed overflowing with guts these days.

Vista makes baby Jesus cry.

Although if you do get them to work together, that may be one for the texts hehe.

I've been running Vista 32 for quite awhile now, not sure I'd go 64bit yet mainly because of the poor plugin support. DAW wise Sonar & Audition both support it so that's good but plugin's are another story. I wouldn't even think about going back to XP, it's really clunky looking and feeling to me now.

Yep, that is my major beef as well. A lot of the pluggins are not set up for it yet. Although Sonar and P5 have been since before the release of the XP64 but they were the only ones prepared for it. But good thing for me is Sonar 7 PE comes with a lot of plug's that are as good as the majority of the others I use so that is a plus. But for the rest of my stuff, I'm just not sure I want to go there yet.

But ya know, 8 gigs of ram would be better the 4 so that might be the tempting part for me.

Yeah, more memory could really help with soft synths that use large samples. My only use for it would be if I end up buying Superior Drums 2, the extra mem might be advantageous with that. My computer is 64bit ready, and I have Vista64, one day I might just get adventurous and try it out.
