Hey Guyz, New Memeber here..

*Ummm, im planning on purchasing a computer based recording package which says it comes with "Everything I Need".. Heres a link to it: www.musiciansfriend.com/p...kage?sku=243009

*And i already have Sony Acid Pro 6 to use as my recording software.. I also have a Sony Acid Music Studio which i believe is just a low level Acid Pro..

I guess im just asking if that really is enough to begin recording..

THANX..

*P.S, It is just for my own personal use. If that even makes a difference, lol..

Hi Wax:

Yep! On all counts. Great site here. Nice people, and an absolute gold mine of information.

Get recording! Don't worry too much about what you think you should have, work with what you have and it will grow....

Is the FireWire audio interface, that comes with the above package act also as a sound card? And has anyone ever used the Live Lite program that comes with it? If so, How is it and what can u do with it?

Yep, the interface replaces the functions that are performed by a onboard sound card.

don't know about live though.

I think live is more geared towards loops creation and beat making. Though I'm pretty sure people use it to record multitrack audio with as well.

Stick with the Acid you are using. Live Lite is a pretty lame program and not very user friendly.
