Anybody in Canada knows where to find some good paper tape? I got some amazing places in the states but the shipping is actually the same has what I am ordering, doesn;t make much sense. I like the fluo or bright colors. 3/4" 50 to 60 yards.
I get the white for free but I like to have different colors for my own gigs.

Apr 29, 2008 08:33 pm labeling cables, board tape. Artist tape doesn't leave glue residue shurtape makes artist/paper tape for soundboard.
Apr 29, 2008 09:24 pm hahaha, they have "artist tape" for that? That's gotta be a huge rip off, masking tape has always worked for me...
Apr 29, 2008 09:33 pm Naw, its great when you're labelling a half a million dollar console. No sticky marks :-).

Apr 29, 2008 09:46 pm it's called gaff tape (sometimes spike tape)... looks like duct tape but no residue.
You'll have to go to your local theater supply or production rental/supply house to get it... generally music stores are clueless about it and think it's duct tape...

Apr 30, 2008 11:55 am masking tape is the worse garbage ever. gaff tape is ok but I wouldn't buy gaffer tape in 3/4" mostly 2" and up then you have to make stripes out of it, camera tape would be better then gaffer tape for that purpose. With board tape you can tape your cable when you wrap them and it's easy to take apart.
May 02, 2008 12:03 am I don't know about Canada, but you can find artist tape in any art store here in the US. The only thing is, if you go to a art store, and ask for board tape. They may just look at you funny. They only know it as artist tape. Same thing.
