Feb 17, 2003 08:30 am Vocals as usual are great! Lyrics brought home the message. Performance is very good except for one composit chord in the ele guitar bridge. Can't dig out exactly why it is so disinant in the mp3, may be drum tuning. Personal preference would be other than a constant bass drum for the motif of the song. The mp3 itself lacks sheen, but that I am sure is the mp3 not the mix and master.
I give it a 4.5 of 5! I figgure that if I can find one chord that does not fit the best the recording is fabulous!

Feb 17, 2003 08:55 am I will try. About three quarters through the guitar solo, the rythum guitar drops down into maybe a seventh or minor third chord. At the same time the guitar solo rises following the structure of the song, however right there is something off, ever so slightly. I think you tuned it with your vocals because I dont hear the dischord in the same structure using vocals. I really think it has to do with the overtones of the drum and guitar that do not match.
Hope that made sense.

Feb 17, 2003 11:00 am I stole the main collection for PHPBB's website, it's the ones they use on their forums. Sisnce I built this forum and website myself I needed to find and "borrow" some avatars.
of course, Then Jamie was cool enough to make us a bunch of others too...and I think he is working on even more.
It's great this community has active members, I could never run this website by myself anymore...

Feb 17, 2003 09:40 pm Kool Jenn, glad ya picked a Pokeman. I was feeling like the only PokE person on the site.
And ya Eevee is as kool as Pikachu. If I was a girl, I would have picked that one. But surounded by all the electronic's in here, Pikachu fits right in.
Feb 18, 2003 12:55 am flame, i'm just now listeing to the new versions (album version?) of "no cigarettes" and "all gone".
good stuff. i like them, so but take me the wrong way when i say that i liked the old rough versions better... maybe it's just that i've been listening to them for so long.
i take my guitar with me everywhere i go and entertain my friends, and i just started adding "all gone" into my repetoire. I got a couple friends hooked on that track when i played the mp3 for them a few months back.

Feb 18, 2003 05:27 pm I still liked the early version's of both track's flame. They had a certain open feel to them. I personally dig that kind of stuff.

Apr 24, 2003 02:29 pm Hey Flame, I listened to Cry Bird Call. I like the effects at the beginning, that percussive noise is cool, maybe it was the lack of lyrics, but the song seems to want to go somewhere, and it never deviates from that I IV progression. Just my opinion, otherwise its a good mix, with a nice guitar and bass sound.

Apr 24, 2003 05:24 pm yeah, its not done yet...the lyrics will help, definately, and theres some slide guitar (hopefully) to go on there, maybe some keyboards...the skys the limit! its'll built up into one great distorted mess hopefully and end in wails of feedback
hmmm....me likey feedback very muchly!
