Ok, someone hear or elsewhere posted a jam on a Pignose. I have one of those but I thaught Id try my little plastic Fender Mini Twin. You know the cheap little stocking stuffer type item. Ive had it for a while and used it a few times relaxing on the couch. Well I did a tune with it. Consists of 11 tracks. Seven for the drums (which I botched in a few places), three for the Fender Mini Twin and one for the Bass (DI). The left and right guitar tracks have a eq and compressor vst. The middle guitar track/lead track has the same vst's but I used a Boss Wah through the little amp and a doubler vst in parts. The distortions are the little amp at different settings. I was shocked at what good sound a little compression and eq did for the little fellow. Anyway here are some pics of the amp and my mixer and main guitar. Its a simple little jam, but I wanted to try the thing out. Link to tune is below also.

Nov 27, 2007 10:24 pm Bushmaster, it was me using a little Marshall replica amp. You can listen to the results here on the fisrt song in the list. www.homerecordingconnection.com/songs.php?ax=sm
Oh ya, I will have a listen tomorrow.
Nov 28, 2007 10:51 am I new someone did something with a similar product. That got me going with the little twin. Like I said not the greatest mix, just an experiment more or less.

Nov 28, 2007 11:38 am That's great. Reminds me of Mountain. Very retro vibe. The guitars have that 70's sound.
I believe that there was one band who recorded all the guitar tracks for their album using a little Smokey amp (possibly plugged into a larger cab - which sounds great!).

Nov 28, 2007 12:05 pm Pretty cool really. Its kind of amazing the sound you can get if your careful. On mine there was some extreme care and experimenting going on with it. Multiple mics and as much processing as could be done back then. That tune is from the early 90's before there were any really killer pluggin's.
I liked the jam feel of the tune. And the sound was very interesting on the guitars. Nicely done for sure.
Nov 28, 2007 01:26 pm The riff has a Sweet Leaf by Sabbath, variation. It was the first thing that came to mind when I hit record.
