But fine when I play em in winamp? What do I need to encode them to in mixdown to get them to sound how they're supposed to on here?

Nov 17, 2007 01:12 pm You have probably encoded them in other than 16/44.1khz. Most online players don't cope well with higher sample rates.

Nov 17, 2007 05:49 pm Yep, you are probably encoding them at 24bit 48khz or higher. Judging for the sound of it it is probably 48khz. Make certain your settings are for 16 bit 44.100khz and you will be good to go.
Don't try fooling around with higher bit and sample rates as indeed, no internet players are set up for that yet accept for a very few sites.

Nov 17, 2007 05:52 pm DUDE!!!!!
You encoded it at 19kbps!!!!
Try encoding it at 128 which is streaming standard for mp3.
But double check your bit rate and sample rate as well.
Nov 17, 2007 06:08 pm haha, sample rate is the culprit, i'm sure. Didn't that get 'ol Van Halen in trouble recently?
