Oct 03, 2007 02:25 pm Which ones are the clowns?
This group would be great for political conventions too.

Oct 03, 2007 02:53 pm Heh, the comments are an interesting read as well.
One person wrote: "I used to hate clowns (thanks Steven King)".
That part itself was quite funny.
Oct 03, 2007 03:29 pm Yeah, the comments were some of the better parts of the story...
Good stuff tho, way to get in the way, by simply not taking them seriously, has to piss them off WAY more than actually arguing with 'em.

Oct 03, 2007 07:16 pm Yep, after reading that it would appear that it was more embarrassing for them then fruitful. Their leader quickly subdued and taken out of the picture. We need more stuff like this going on in the world.

Oct 03, 2007 10:27 pm hmmm...db Masters...yeah, that's pretty good, making them mad and all. But - even better would just be sniping them. I could be wrong, that's just my opinion. :) When a subject like this comes up I wonder if we are becoming more advanced somehow or just more watered down, to the point that our strongest values are just commonplace.
I have met some KKK, btw, in the deep South. Each that I have met has had to have what I consider to be basic sentences repeated and broken down into subject/predicate/object format.
I can't tell for sure if I am just getting older and more intolerant as my ego structure crystallizes or wiser.
Oct 04, 2007 06:46 am The best Jerry Springer shows are the Klan ones, the people representing the Clan have maybe a sixth grade education at best, have maybe 3 teeth between them...I love it...the sad thing is their behavior in society, or the fact they are even in society, but it makes for a funny show when they bring out well dressed, classy, well spoken minorities. :-)
Oct 08, 2007 11:34 pm wow i missed this one! that is some funny stuff for sure...i'm dredging through the comments now....makes me prowd of Tennessee....the ppl here are what makes me love it so much....it's just different up north.
Oct 08, 2007 11:54 pm Hah, that's pretty funny. Yes, not being taken seriously is quite a slap in the face. Racism is pretty lame. Usually fueled by ignorance, like Srisso said.
However, forgive me for being the devil's advocate here...
but i think it's crap that I (non-minority/white, or whatever you want to call it) had to finance my own education when I was quite the good student (and parents dirt poor) when my friends who had 1/16 native american blood, or hispanic, or fill-in-the-blank minority were horrible students and had free rides or at least a TON more financial aid.
I made it through and all that, I'm not complaining, but it seems a bit unbalanced...
Oct 09, 2007 06:34 am I think that's pretty lame too. I don't know where people get off fighting for equality when among middle class America the balance is so against the white male anymore it's silly.
It is unbalanced. Once you go out of your way to "level the playing field" for somebody or "give them equal rights" you tip the balance in their favor.
Bottom line is we all HAVE equal rights, the same laws and opportunities exist for everybody, the difference is if they are something you actually want use or reach for.

Oct 09, 2007 09:18 am I agree.
It's racism to give someone preferential treatment based solely upon race.
As soon as someone states what color/race they are, then they're instilling the racism angle right off.
We recently visited Jamaica, and the idea of racism is non-existent there (at least where we were).
It was quite refreshing.
