Aug 31, 2007 03:56 pm Ummm...strike them more softly? Its free! You don't have to kill them to make them sound good, especially the cymbals. Just tell the drummer to lighten up a bit.
But for the most part, drums are loud, especially in rock music. Maybe you should consider using sampled drums, electronic drums, triggers, or alternative percussion.
Or find a rehearsal space where you can bang away and not bother anybody.
