zoom pedal as mic effects??

hows d craic,
i hav a zoom 505II and was wondering if i cud run my mic thro it and then into the 4 track? then i cud use the compressing and reverb effects on it for vocals-is this possible?
any advice would be appreciated

Jan 25, 2003 12:10 pm yeah it's possible, assuming your mic has the 1/4" TS plug and not an XLR. the impedance won't be perfect so there might be some noise or it may be a little quieter than usual, but it will certainly work. i've used those little zoom boxes as direct boxes in situations where i needed a quick preamp for my bass guitar. make do with what you got and push your equipment to it's limits. that's the only way you'll ever figure out what it's capable of ;O) -j
