or other Audio Technica products...
There is a local store that is going to be having 50% off all Audio Technica products in stock as well as 40-50% off of some other products. But, since it seems like a good deal, anyone have any input on any Audio Technica mics they may have used?
I'm not sure I'm gonna get anything, but just investigating...

Jun 26, 2007 02:21 pm I have the ATH-M40fs Headphones and I really like them. At 50% off that would be quite a score.

Jun 26, 2007 02:22 pm Recording Chick did her previous album with a AT4040 or AT4030, I can't remember which, and she was happy.
I keep hearing good stuff about them, but haven't used one myself.

Jun 26, 2007 02:56 pm They are really flat response and loud. That is why I bought them. They are comfortable and reasonably durable. It has a 12 foot cord which is kind of a bonus.
Jun 26, 2007 06:45 pm nab a 4050 or two if you can afford it VERY versatile....a bit on the brite side, but work GREAT for clean shiney vocals. plus they're multipattern! hi-oh! we've got two of 'em here....they are my go-to mic for vox and overheads.

Jun 27, 2007 02:08 am hmm, a 4050(or two...). I'll have to keep these in mind. I don't really need any mics, but it seems cool to have some more. As a note, I so far only record vox and the occasional odd noise maker instrument (hello slide whistle!). Anyways, we'll see what's up.
Jul 10, 2007 04:05 pm Yeah, I'm going to give a shout for the 4050 as well. Its a good all purpose large diaphragm condenser. There are other mics that I have that I like better for certain applications, but I use the 4050 more than any of my other condensers as a good all purpose mic.

Jul 17, 2007 04:58 am I've got a 4035, which i like as an overhead in glyn johns, and an ATM25 which i love on kick.
Jul 19, 2007 11:22 am I'm actually buying a AT3035 today. I asked some musician and producer friends of mine what a good large diaphragm condenser mic would be for someone on a tight budget, and they both recommended it. Normally, it's around $200.

Jul 19, 2007 07:12 pm Yep, the 3035 is a good all around mic for sure. It is a bit on the sparkly side for some things though. I would definitely recommend giving it a shot though for sure.
