Regretfully i have to bail for work so i'll give a proper listen later but this really does sound awsome!
For a first mix you've done really well too.
The vocals MAYBE a little dry (effects wise), they just need to sit a little better but i mean just a little.

Apr 12, 2007 11:16 pm Song sounds really good, the vocals are indeed dry but other than that the mix is nice. Maybe think about putting a tiny bit of distortion on the vocals, I think it would be very cool in a NIN kind of way.
Apr 18, 2007 09:59 am Thanks Bleak and Capt. Tripps! I hear what you're saying and I just put up another mix. Hopefully it sits better in the mix now. As far as the distortion, I already do have some. I know I could go farther and that would be cool but it was mroe of a choice to go Depeche Mode sounding (vocally) rather than NIN. Who knows i may change my mind as I love NIN too. THanks again for the listen.

Apr 18, 2007 01:15 pm Will take another listen tonight. And yeah, it did not sound like NIN, was just something I could hear in my head vocally. I will look at it with a depeche mode singing style tonight and see what comes to mind, if anything.

Apr 22, 2007 07:49 pm This could be in one of Tarantinos flicks, or a Rob Zombie flick. The vocal part is what does it there. The music is very itneresting. I'll assume I am listening to the newer mix as I can't really here anything out of place or odd about this mix. Very well done to my ears right now. I like the way it evolved from the opening into a bit more driving piece. Depeche Mode is pretty good, but its more like Depeche Mode meets NIN meets Rob Zombie. Very cool sounding to me. I liked the guitar sound you got, it fit very well into the mix. The drums also worked well for this tune.
