It was left on my answering machine... but I think it was a wrong number...

so kids... I know we all get mad and want to tell people how we feel... but there are rules...

1. call the right number
2. don't let it be recorded
3. don't say your name on the recording

My local police department seemed happy to maybe have something cool to do...

I think this was actually my second death threat... though probably not directed at me... my first one was during Basic Training.... that guy got his *** kicked... me saying "Drill Sergeant! Private Soandso just threatened to shoot me!" was like summoning Satan to destroy a bunny rabbit...

Haha dont you have your name on it? That'd probably prevent the confusion of the person hears the name and realizes its the wrong number.

NEVER put your name on an answering machine...

Yeah, I have had a couple of those types of things too, kinda funny, even when they were really directed at me...

I already recorded it to PC but it's likely a juvenile and they very clearly say what might be their name... if it was an adult I'd remix it to music... :)

man some many things popping up on HRC that i want to hear, but cant. First it was whosyourdaddy with his sex scandle audio tape, and now its this...

when are things exciting like this going to happen to me? tsk tsk tsk

on a serious note, death threats are scary. i guess, never happened, but i can see how it could be weird feeling. Why never put your name on you message machine? like a first name?

I have an old crappy answering machine that I don't know how to program :)

It's probably a privacy issue regarding putting our name on the machine... I can assume it could be skimmed by a call bot in advace for a telemarketer though...

I am loading my pistol mags tonight though... now... no sleepwalking... :)

I've gotten death threats before. It was actually sort of my fault. I had hit on the girl and she gave me her number and it turns out she's married. Well my phone got stolen and it had her number in it. When i got a new phone and turned it on, there was a very colrful message from her husband. Turns out the guy who stole my phone had some fun with them during the night. I actually thought it was funny though.

My death threats have generally come from my drug using/selling days over a decade ago...just angry junkies and crap...except then once, after getting busted selling meth, I went to jail, during my time a "friend" of mine horned in on my GF (actually he did me a favor in hindsite, she's the one I refer to as only "the xbox"), I then later bumped into the girl he ran out on during that time, and his child (that he also ran out on). We chatted for a bit and whatever and went on about our business.

The next day I had a death threat on my phone to stay away from his kid...ya know, the one he ran out on.

It's been over 10 years, I still don't see the logic in that...

Yep, no names on the home answering machine. Mine is a digital voice when it answers. My cell though is another story. But my cell phone is guarded with my life other then at work it is never more then 5 feet from me. When sleeping it is 2 feet from me.

On the death threat issue, maybe a couple 20 years ago. zek, yours sounds interesting though. I agree with loading the clips though for sure. Never be too careful.

I think my Credit Card provider might start flinging a few my way any day now!
