Pitch Shifting?

I use some pitchshifting (-1.5) one my vocals (Death Metal) when I record and now I want to do the same thing while playing live and during band practice. What would I need to achive this live?

I am assuming I need something for my mic to go into and then into the PA system / mixing board.

Any recomendations, comments, questions would be great.

Thank you.

For live perfomances,(or harmonized vocals in general) I'd try to get as natural-sounding a harmonizer as possible... y'a don't want your big-mean-cookie-monster-vox to come out sounding robotic... or maybe you do ? = )

TC Electronics makes some nice, middle of the road stuff that is pretty smooth .

No, I do not want them to sound robotic, just a bit deeper adn thicker. That is what it did on my recordings.

Both TC Electronic and Digitech make great voice tweaking units. digitech even has a stomp box type unit you can control right on stage your self.

Don't take this the wrong way man, but if you're tryin' to get some good death metal vox, you don't wanna get used to using some piece of equipment to sound good! Just keep workin' with your voice and, after several *years* of practice, you should find that you've improved tremendously.

I hate shortcuts hah! They end up screwing you in the end (Milli Vanilli)
