I already know that I've done a mistake choosing this sound card for home recording, but as I can't afford myself a better card at the moment I'd like to know how to get the best from it.
Thanks in advance!

Mar 10, 2007 12:04 pm What have you tried so far? Have you tried ASIO and WDM? Have you tried the ASIO4ALL driver? What application do you use, how do you record? What is you computer...
Filling out your profile would be a good place to start helping us help you.
Mar 10, 2007 12:06 pm I used to have that very soundcard... it's horrible. lol. it's tremendously user friendly though. as asked before me, what software are you using to record with, what other hardware, and what are you trying to record, vocals, guitar, drums...?

Mar 11, 2007 01:14 am You can do some very good recording with the card. I'd use the WDM drivers with it vs the ASIO driver because Creative's ASIO drivers do have problems. Other than that though, I did alot of my recording with an Audigy 2 and IMO it's a decent card capable of very good quality. I use a delta 44 now, but I honestly don't think my recordings sound any better now than they did with the SB, but I do have more inputs/outputs which come in handy.
