Pros vs. Joes, anyone?

Anyone watch this show? It appears as though next Thursday Randy Couture, the retired mixed martial arts cage fighter, who has held the championship belt in two different weight classes is going to be one of the pros...

Now that is an episode I gotta see, three joes getting in the cage with him!

No thanks, too much violence on TV for me. I think I'll hang with the sex instead. :-)

Edit - now that just gave me an idea for a new show. How about a pro vs. amateur sex contest. Imagine the ratings!

I'm calling some TV producers to pitch it. HBO will grab it in a second.

Pros vs Joes is awesome...it's just sports...

I personally would consider it the honor of a lifetime to grapple with Randy...even though I would get my *** kicked. He's a legend.

What channel is it on. I don't think I have ever seen it. Although I do remember you mentioned it recently.

My cousin used to train at Coutures gym. He used to be cool with him, don't know if he ever grappled with him though.

I want to see the Tim Hardaway episode. It would be an honor to hoop with that cat. Prolly my favorite basketball player ever as a fan.

Yeah, he used to barbq and stuff with him, and help him promote some local fights with him and stuff. But my cousin doesn't really mess with it too much anymore. Got a girlfriend and enough stupid injuries.

Yeah, I just quit too, trying new stuff. I am 40 years old in May, have a few pops and ticks...I am doing weight training and Yoga right now trying to get stronger and more limber.

OK, after I posted it it dawned on me what channel it would be on.

Yoga would be great if I could keep my knee's bent that long without fear of paralyzing myself from the waste down. Right now I have all I can do to keep up with the upper and lower leg exercises the doc has me doing to try and maintain whats left of my leg movement. Between the major knee damage and the ankle damage caused from not paying attention to the knee damage I'm in big trouble.

AS for the pops and clicks, I should sample myself going up and down the stairs, or even just getting off the futon in the morning. The kids think it is a riot.

I saw the rerun today, Coulture schooled these guys...in 5 minutes the one that got submitted the least was 5 times, once every 60 seconds. What's funny is the ground and pound is his specialty, and he couldn't even pound, it was just grappling...and he still smoked 'em...and the one that was submitted the least was a military close combat INSTRUCTOR!

GREAT entertainment, my wife and kids watched with me all cheering for Randy! The other Pros were ever whinsing at the show, Michael Irving said he'd only get in the cage if he could bring a bat. :-)
