Has anybody got the SKB case for the baby-taylor guitar? Is it any good?

Know of any other options for hard cases? I'm sorta looking for something I can ship an old 3/4 size acoustic guitar in and have a prayer of the guitar making it...

thanks!
Kenny

coffin cases, baby!

Anvil cases are, or were pretty much industry standard for a while for rack gear and such...not sure about guitars.

SKB would probably be the only one I would trust on name alone. I've seen lots of SKB cases take a lot of abuse and come out OK.

I'll second Anvil as well. All my road cases were Anvil, and I still own a couple of Anvil cases that are bullit proof. Most of my cases were the guitar and keyboard cases built for specific keys and guitars. I know they still do custom work.

SKB is as well a highly regarded case maker, not sure though I would rate them up there with Anvil though. But they are indeed tuff stuff.

Anvil looks like good stuff, but oh the sticker shock.

And they don't warantee against abuse damage like SKB does...

Hmm...

Anybody used gator stuff before? They make a 3/4 size guitar hardcase...

Gator is a basic SKB knock off. Same case type an style.

The Anvil cases are true flight cases. Not just a guitar case with an extra inch of padding. I would not ship or send those types of cases on a plane without some extra protection. My Anvil cases on the other hand, I would easily drop one and or worry about damage to the contents. My Washburn from the Robert Palmer video's in the 80's has an Anvil case. The case cost more then I paid for the guitar, but it was well worth it for that guitar, which now hangs unfinished on the wall waiting for me to get motivated to finish it up.

Anyway, that is the main difference and reason for the big price sway between SKB and Anvil.
