Delta ASIO driver

I'm having a issue with my delta 44 drivers. I'm using nuendo 2. When I switch to my Delta Asio Driver it makes Nuendo run really slow on play back and such(I'm using a lot of plugins for mixing drums). As if it's not working at all, It's taking up all my CPU power and poping and clicking. But when I switch back to my Direct X or MME drivers it plays back smooth with all my plugins.

MY guess is Nuendo 2 is a little buggy with the delta asio drivers?

Nuendo should run just fine. Make sure your drivers are all up to date. You haven't entered a bio, so I have no idea on the specs on your computer. The popping etc. all seemsto indicate a latency issue, so you'll need to make sure your ASIO drivers are all up to date and your latency is set properly. More info would help.

As far as I know, Nuendo/Steinberg have been really good about addressing bugs, so make sure you have their latest fixes.

im using a AMD 2.4 ghz, 2 gigs of ram, WinXP.

I disabled my integrated audio device so my delta 44 should run it all but still the same issue. I'll try updating the drivers but im sure I have the latest. Maybe Nuendo 3 will work.

Not sure that throwing another $2K at this will help! Which version of Nuendo are you currently running?

I'd guess that you have the latency set really low. Try setting the latency a little higher than you have it, and see if the pops and clicks go away.

yeah that was exactly it. Latency was at its lowest. Now its fine. Thanks for the support Chap.
