Nov 06, 2006 04:56 am Sad story, but, I would likely think you are suffering from 20/20 hindsight, but who knows...I've seen many Twilight Zones and such shows depicting people about to die with some sort of visible trait...perhaps there is.

Luke was 22, came up to the bar, didn't stay to long, had a designated driver and left in a car with 4 ppl in it.....got T-boned by an oncoming car (not their fault).....one is in critical condtion, two walked, and Luke is DOA. i talked to him roughly two hours before he died....he came to the kitchen to say hey to me, and his eyes really looked 'strange' to me.....granted he smokes some of the best pot in town, and his eyes showed it, but something was not right....i vividly remember thinkin' this....but yeah, he's got a buddy that has a job where he can't drink/do other things, so he's the group driver....so i had no concerns....but i didn't exactly say goodbye to him....i said somethin' like 'see ya'......
i wasn't real close to him, but i saw something in his eyes that night that i instinctively new was wrong.....and due to all the recent topics here lately, i figured this would be a fun place to bring it up.....
what do y'all think of me seein' his eyes like that?....granted it never really 'sunk in' until after i found out he died.....hind sight is always 20/20, or was i loking into deaths eyes? cool

Nov 06, 2006 06:33 pm Some say its very possible to see that in the eyes of the one whos time is very near.
I read somewhere a long time ago that the reaper, and ya I'm taling the Grim Reaper here. Must touch you so you can find him to guide your soul to where ever it is that souls go. Maybe he had allready been touched and you could see it in his eyes.
Not sure where I read it. And not sure I believe in a grim reaper to be honest.
Nov 07, 2006 11:44 am In early March this year an old friend of my brother finished work on a Saturday afternoon, called his parents to say he was on his way home. Then he drove home and it was a little snowy bad weather and he lost control into a turn and crashed into a tree at about 80 km/h. Didn't drive to fast or drank anything, just slided of the road in a slow turn. His car had an airbag but didn't activate. Trauma helicopter arrived but he died at the scene.. they had to cut him out. 19 years old. And at that time his mother was terminally ill (cancer) and died almost exactly 3 or 4 months (can't remember) later this summer. So now the father and daughter are left. Very tragic..

Nov 08, 2006 03:16 am nah, not that i noticed, although i prolly talked to him once in that time (like i said, we wern't best buds or anything).....but i DO have a grim reaper tatoo on my shoulder!
