Good question... it seems that there are alot of chorus pluggins, and that many can sound different even with the same settings . What's up with that ?

I can't really say though... I used to use the freebies out there, now I just use the one that came with Sonar . There are a bunch of 'em out there though, and there should be a link floating around here somewhere...

I fiddled around with the khaerjus free one, but wasn't too impressed.

I got spoiled by the chorus on the Roland Jazz Chorus amps. Very nice.

coolo, you have P5 version 2 right? There is a good chorus in one of the bigger FX pluggins there. I have to go look at it to see which one it is. I have a couple presets tweaked out for it that I can send ya.

What exactly are you going to use it on? That will help me find the presets to match.

Noize, right on, I honestly haven't even messed with any of the effects that come with P5. Yeah, I'm mainly looking at chorus for vocal effects (thickening up hooks a bit and what not), but if I like the plug, I might try using it on some other instruments as well. Are the effects that come with P5 v2 able to be used by other VST compatible software or are they only to be used in P5?

I'll have to look when I get home this afternoon. I cant remember but I believe one of the processers is VST. Otherwise it is only DX. But remember taht P5 is a ReWire client as well as a host so you can open it via ReWire to use FX.

Actually I messed with it last night. It's a DX effect and I promptly put it to use! Thanks Noize.

No sweat. Its pretty tweakable once you get using it. Not the deepest but it works great.

Coolo if you're still using CEP the chorus plugin included with it (at least V2 on, don't know about versions prior to that) is an excellent one.

Yeah OD, I wrote this post cuz I wasn't liking the sound I was getting with the CEP chorus in this instance (I've used it in the past with good results though). The P5 chorus while not giving me exactly what I was looking for gave me good results. I think what I wanted was the thickness of the CEP chorus, but the clarity of the P5 chorus (I know that may sound contradictory...). The P5 chorus just does not quite thicken up the sound as much as I'm looking for, but it's super clean. The CEP thickens it nicely, but leaves "artifacts" or warblyness a little and sounds a little too "chunky" for what I'm going for in this particular application. But thanks guys!

coolo, I might have a device chain worked out that will give you the combo you are looking for. Give me a few days and I'll try and dig out the file for it and email it to you. They are really small.
