A guy I know plays in the Aussie Pink Floyd. His name is Damian Darlington and comes from a talented musical family and all his brothers and a sister play. One of the brothers (John) made an electric violin for (Gareth)who is a brilliant player, out of an old coffee table.Just thought I'd let you know that they are starting a US tour next month so check out their tour dates cause there's been interest in Floyd on here before.I told them about HRC and they are coming to a jam session next week.

Sep 29, 2006 07:24 pm Hujambo, do you have a link to their site?
Sep 30, 2006 04:21 am you guys ever hear the Easy All Stars cover of Dark Side of the Moon? it's cover to cover reggae....perfect stoner music, again done very respectful to the original...check 'em out.
Sep 30, 2006 12:53 pm Its kinda crazy that when a band that iconic is born, the music carries on so long that its message can be conveyed effectively through others providing they stick to the same blueprint. I had the honor to see the real deal in Columbus, OH @ OSU stadium in 1988. The Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour. That changed my life. I was 12 . . . and sober. These guys look like they put on a fine reproduction.

Sep 30, 2006 06:00 pm Thanx Hujambo. I see they are playing 2 dates here in November. I am thinking of taking the boyz as odds are good they will never see a real Floyd show and this looks to be as close to the real thing as they will be able to see, other then of course the live DVD shows.

Sep 30, 2006 06:21 pm carbonic, I have been lucky enough to have seen Floyd 7 times. Although I am old enough that I was lucky enough to see them in their early days as well. But indeed I will agree a Floyd show can be an awsome experiance indeed. Not taking anything away from the AusieFloyd tribute show, but there is nothing like a real Floyd show.
But as I stated, the boyz will probably never get to see the real Floyd live so this will suffice.

Aw, man! I had just MOVED to Columbus that week, and didn't go because I didn't know anyone here and didn't want to go alone. (junior in high school) Kind of wish I had, now, anyway. I heard it was just incredible.
Oct 04, 2006 01:59 pm All of the AussieFloyd guys played at the jam session last night, they were already in the area getting some rehearals in before the US tour. They've got a new guitarist who looks Australian but is from Kent UK.He hasn't got much time left but I'm sure he will do a great job cause he's very good.

Oct 05, 2006 07:11 pm I think I will be taking the boyz for certain. It is as I stated the closest they will probably come to seeing a show like that of Floyd.
