Sep 04, 2006 02:00 am In sonar Right click on the track, down to Envelopes>-Create Track Envelope>-Volume, and then use the envelope tool to map it it out nice and precisely
lets see if i remember this correctly.in pro-tools see how on each track it says "waveform" click on that and change it to "volume" then you will see a line on the track itself, click on the track to make volume change points.

Sep 04, 2006 10:18 am Thanks so much man. i've been trying to figure that out for a long time.
so when i go to envelope > volume (in sonar) its just a line, i tried to move it up and down but the whole line that controls the volume. which is solid. am i doing somethign wrong?
how exactley do i make the 'points' show up?
Sep 04, 2006 10:41 am i think u got to use the write tool to make the points

Sep 04, 2006 11:43 am Or... after the envelope is established you can just double-left-click ON the envelope line, and a node will appear .
Sep 04, 2006 12:19 pm and in protools on the track u see a lil menu well the default view selection is "waveform" click on that and more options will come down like "pan" "volume" and such select which one u want and u could use the write tool to draw it in, or the hand tool to make single points at a time and move them ...... edit: sorry i didnt recognize melt answer this part already

Sep 04, 2006 03:43 pm yeah, ok so you have the line in soanr right? now if your right click on the line itself scroll down and click "add node".
a node is one of those points where you can change the lines direction. you can add as many as you want.

Sep 04, 2006 05:33 pm You can also assign the linearity of the curve the line will take as well if you have Sonar 5. Or you can leave it straight between the nodes.
