I am using DXi instruments from Cakewalk Project5 within SonarLE. I have a few MIDI tracks laid down but now want to convert them to audio. I cant just export MIDI as audio and when I try to set up a track to just let the MIDI play and record onto audio, it wont work. When I make a DXi the input, it will take the record button away and leave only "mute" and "solo". So I just need to know how to convert MIDI files to audio.
Thanks in advance.

Aug 09, 2006 10:00 am mute/solo what ever tracks ya want, and go to File > export audio....tis veddy easy. then go to File > inport audio to get it back into the project....mute the midi track when ya do otherwise you WILL hear a phase issue, as both tracks will be playing.
Aug 09, 2006 02:12 pm no, when I select a MIDI track and then go to Export audio, it gives me a message saying that no audio has been selected and therefore I cannot convert...

Aug 09, 2006 05:31 pm You need to select the audio track that the synth plays on as well as the midi track sending it data. I know it should work that way in SL as well as most of their apps. It has been that way since they started using DXi and VSTi.
