Before i hook up my speakers i want to know if it would be better to hook them up tto my computer or my mixer board

Jul 03, 2006 11:44 am depends...i monitor as close to the source (computer/interface) as possible....but if you like the volume knob on your mixer and are running out of the computer into the mixer...i see nothing wrong with it. you'll get a bit more noize but not much.

Jul 03, 2006 07:30 pm I agree with WYD. I goes straight from my soundcard breakout box to my monitors and control the volume with the soundcards software mixer. THe only time I use an external mixer is for a headphone amplifier while recording.

Jul 04, 2006 11:29 am I've done both, but right now yeah it's soundcard out to speakers. Either way will work fine. I may set the speakers up on the control room out later today just to see if I like that better. I just have a very small board and want to save space on it.
