Hello folks,

Finally completed a new song, a rock-pop song with drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
This is the second song that I post, it's in spanish too and would like to know your opinions about the mix (I hope language is not an issue).

Ok, here is the link www.soundclick.com/bands/...m?bandID=223653

Thanks for your comments.

Wow, very nice indeed. I'm on PC speakers, so I can't give a full listen, but I'd say this offering is right up there.

Seems there's lots of sonic content to fill the spectrum, and there's definition amongst them, too.

Nothing seems lacking, or overpowering, from what I can tell.

Nice job!

err, it's kinda hard to tell on this sytem here at work. small PC speakers, and I don't turn it up too loud.

I do like the 'working between the speakers' you've done. kinda like point / counterpoint from one side to the other.

Keeps the sonic palette fresh.

Wow...nice! Really good spacing of the different elements, for the most part. Nothing really jumps out as being out of place...everything is nice and smooth.

The ambience of the piece is good for what you seem to be trying to do.

Sounds radio-ready to me. Nice job.

Show me to the beer....

Ya it sounds great to me. Nice bass tone. Also, the drums sound great. Are they sampled? or did you record them live? Either way good work. As far as the ambience factor everything seems in place.

Keep up the good work

Edit: Actually if you wouldnt mind could you tell me what the chain was for getting that bass sound? thanks

Josh

Sonico, I gotta agree this one is great. Very good bass sound as well as the drums and guitar. The vox sound great and are mixed very good as well.

Liked the tune as well, interesting all the way through.

Thanks again for taking the time to listen to my song.
As for the recording process, I use Sonar 5 PE, programmed the drums and use FXpansion's BFD for sounds with compression, EQ and tape simulation, the Bass was recorded direct thru my ART dual tube preamp and processed with an Ampeg simulation from Guitar Rig's II (I have to get the bass pack for my POD XTL)then some compression and EQ, guitars are thru my POD XTL then EQ and compression, vocals were recorded with my AT3035 mic thru the ART preamp, compression, eq and tape simulation.
Some reverb and delay and that's it.
I'am very glad you liked it.
Anything else you wan to know about my recording process, just ask.
I'd be glad to give something in return to the invaluable knowledge that I've gotten from this site.

Thanks again!!
