Well guys, here's the last one from me for a while.

Recorded the same night I recorded the other track I posted a few days ago...less time in mixing, simple song but , more rockin than the last one methinks...more too this, more changes, chords and I feel, a better recording though not necessarily a better song.

Anyways, see whit ye think ...

As always, ALL yer feedback, much welcomed by Coco!

Cheers..here's the link: www.thedesmoinesriot.com/when.mp3

Cheers guys

Coco.

Coco, had me a quick listen tonight. Indeed ya fooled me there for a second with the quiet intro. Then the rockin kicks in and away it goes. I simply love your sensible leads in your songs. They are so damn catchy!

I'm gonna give it a bit better listen tommorrow though as I gotta be at work by 3:30 am this morning so I'm off in just a bit here.

The fat one always watches us.

Hey Noize/TonyD - cheers for the listen and the feedback buddies, much appreciated for sure...always.

Aye, that acoustic/electric switch I like - I didnt write this one (tho added some bits here and there and moulded some of it) but primarily, the singer's song to be honest...BUT, I Love playing it...

I am thinking I will maybe re-record our WHOLE set fully live as possible, based on the feedback and energy I feel in the songs done this way over the, overdubbed, headphoned up recordings we done initially...power is the key methinks.

Cheers again guys, loving ye lovin it ;-)

Awra the best.

Really enjoyed this song! Great intro, love the switch from acoustic to electric and when the drums come in, wham! Very cool. Wish the vocals were just a bit louder. This one must go over very well live...

Another fine one Coco! I too like the intro and everything comes in and really rocks it up. Good catchy tune, very danceable which is always a good thing when your going to be playing live. Mix sounds very good to my ears, vocals nice and clear and sounded about right to me in the headphones (still don't have any speakers hooked up).

Keep on rockin'!

Cheers for the listen Dan..much appreciated always.

Aye, I think / hope it will come over good tomorrow night (we're gigging at a crazy-assed rock bar here in Edinburgh!)...mad it will be!!!

Still, bars that have rock posters all over the wall, have "theme" nights where crazy drinkers dress up ala old school rock themes and go mad for it at gigs, should be cool!!!

And, I might just stand on the auld amp again for posterity and madness sake (Joking I am - never again will I stand on top of the auld Marshall and smash aboot on the axe like a derranged madman ;-) ... love my gear too much as I get older (as does the gear ;-)

Cheers again bud, much appreciated.

Hey coco,

Couple of things bothering me (Am listening on a mac laptops speakers though). Is the acoutsic guitar D.I.'d ? Think the tone could be better. The vocals, yet again, bother me. But I think thats just a personal taste. Also, I think you could turn the OH down, bass down a tad? and the dist guitars volume and high end way up?

Love the dist guitar tone though! And love the harmonising!
