Very cool Tony! That's quite a good sound you get in a hotel... Guitar sounds great, enjoyed the effects, and a really cool song!

Dude, you are writing some emotionally scary stuff. The pause's set up for some kool kinda vibe and makes the listener wonder what is coming next. How did you do that tiny little electric solo sound? Sounds like a Little Smoky to me, or something similar.

After all these years I am still trying to figure out who your vox remind me of. I just cant place it, but someone somewhere had a similar style and sound. It was a long time ago though, so my memory has faded a bit.

I do like the chord progresion as well, very nice. I'm gonna have to listen to this one a littel more and see if I can figure out who the heck the vox remind me of.

i dont know who i sound like......i have listened to this one a few times and i find a great quailty in it. better that most of my stuff.
the lead is acoledustic, direct in, then givin some amp sim, then eq'd like telephone, then bdoubled and panned wide, and reduced volume to bury.

i do know that this isnt folk, its not rock. theres on r and b here- im at a loss to describe myself.....

Hey I'm so proud of you Tony for micing the acoustic :-D

It sounds great. You could tame the delay (or is it a predelay on the reverb maybe?) on the acoustic a little. The tone is great tho. Good low end for sure.

I like the arrangement here, its a good and creative structure for the song.

I"m trying to pin down who you remind me of. In tambre and enounciation you remind me of the singer from Black Mountain.

Tony, I like the squeaks as well. Still like that funky tiny soslo bit in there as well. I do like this version better I think. I thought I downloaded the other but guess not. I'll just rely on my old brain to remember what it sounded like before.

Tad, I think you might have it with the Black Mountain comarison. I'll have to dig out something from them and see if it is.

Hey Tony, sounds great! The fingerboard sounds are fine, even enjoyable. Your voice is pretty cool, you did a really nice job on recording your voice (and everything else too, but the vocal stands out). I really like it... Great job, dude! :thumbsupicon:

love the acoustic playing on this track...the minimalist approach of your tracks totally accentuates the quirkiness of your subject matter...

you really are a quick-witted writer and the lyrics/vox totally work with the music on your tracks.

I like the changes in this tune...as someone mentioned earlier...you don't know whats coming...

nice effort man!

thats hi praise. thanks... if im like the rest of you, im a little nervous for the reactions. when i listen to ras or dung- its full band, perfect well written- i compare "hotel song collection" to me its, written well (thanks ras for that one, means alot) but over all the quality is questionable. im trying. one thing to over come is a lack of monitors duing the mix- all i got is heaphones. i dont hear some problems till i burn a cd and listen in the car....
i am startin to think, that with 5 more of these tunes i can have a "TonyD Hotel Songs" cd..... could sell five or even SEVEN copies!

and yes im quite witty
