I recently read "Confessions of a Record Producer" by Moses Avalon. As the tagline on the inside cover says, "It's all about how the record industry works, not how it should work." Holy Crap!!! Some of the stuff in there is absolutely mindblowing. I actually highlited much of the information in there and plan to use the book as reference quite often. I would say that this is a must read for anyone even contemplating entering ANY aspect of the industry. Anybody know of any other similar books?

not exactly an "industry" book... I have an old one called "An Objective Psychology of Music" by Robert Lundin in the 1950's. Ot covers most of the research from the time on acoustic cognition.
