A song idea that came from a bass line (one I sent to coolo ages ago) I wrote. Not sure what it is, a blend of something and rock. Once again, there is no real ending to speak of, but after a few listens I think I have one now :) This one does not have vox.
Is under my profile in the "Not completed" album. Is called D2D at the moment.

Aug 13, 2009 01:11 pm wow i'm diggin' the chord choices for sure...i'm hearin' you could go more new punk feel with it.....clean warm tones (less distortion) for the "verse" section, then kick in the distortion for the heavier power chords and the single note riffs....
i do like the goove and chord progression for sure....i'm hearin' avenged sevenlfold style vocals over it...harmonies even....or you could go brian setzer with it...
good start for sure....makes me wanna play in a band again LOL

Aug 13, 2009 04:31 pm Good call on the different tones Wyd, I think that would create great dynamic between the verse and chorus.

Aug 16, 2009 10:05 pm Cool bass part on the intro. I liked the bit of Ska feel to it. I'm with WYD on the chord progression as well. Got a kind of dark feel to it, I almost want to see some dancing skeletons in a video with this. Has a feel of older Black Sabbath in a couple of places as well in a couple of places. I had to listen a bit quietly though as my ears are still toast today. I'll give it an all out kicken in the morning. But very cool from first listen.

Aug 19, 2009 01:55 am I liked the first one alot better (more up my alley) but this one has potential as well, would like to hear it with some vocals.
Definitley worth pursuing.

Aug 25, 2009 03:52 pm Well, been out of town for awhile but had some ideas on this one. I think I have a better dynamic flow figured out that is going to emphasize the heavier portion.
And OD, I like the other better as well, right now :)
On most songs the vox are the make/break for me. I've had plenty a cool riff ruined by poor vox and plenty of ho hum riffs come out sounding great with the right vox.
Hopefully this will be the latter :)

Aug 25, 2009 11:14 pm I know what you mean Cpt, I have lots of cool songs I've started and then can't do what I want vocally with them so I just let them sit.
Look forward to hearing the new additions.
