I had a Bass V-Amp, it's an admirable product and has decent modeling. Nowhere near the quality of the POD, but, nowhere near the price either. The only downside I saw is that it's not as tweakable as the POD, but still sounds good. The case is also not nearly as solid, kinda wimpy actually. if you plan on it staying in your studio you'll be fine, but if you plan on travelling with it, well, don't let you drunken roadie friends handle it.
The up side is that it has some decent keyboard and guitar models too, so it's versitle, but, like I said before, it never hit me as tweakable, or as easy to tweak, as the higher end POD's.
