PPA-LD1 repair?

I got this condenser mic off of ebay for next to nothing, and it sounded great for a couple of weeks.
Suddenly, the signal started to drop out. I've already verified that it's not the cable or the input channel, so that leaves the mic. On inspection, I don't see anything obvious. I tried to contact the Pacific Pro Audio for a circuit diagram, but they don't respond.
Anyone ever repair one of these (or similar) mics?
Is it worth the effort?

I am completely unfamiliar with those mics but if you want you might want to check the connections to the stepup transformer inside. If the transformer has gone bad try to find the part number and order it from an electronic place... but they tend to be fairly expensive.

I see they are selling them for $99.00. I have honestly never heard of them either. It does sound though it may be as Zek described, the transformer is going bad, or gone bad.

the PPA LD-1 is a really good mic for the price. I don't know why Pacific Pro Audio neglected to email you, but if you like I can scan the circut diagram for one of my LD-1's and email it to you.

I would also happily walk down the street and talk to one of their 6 employees about getting you a replacement/repair. They are very reasonable, and I would bet their lack of reply to your email was in any way intentional.

Let me know if I can help!

Hey, thanks for the offer! I completely lost track of this thread, and indeed I'd packed this dead mic away, only to rediscover it yesterday.
I would appreciate having a schematic, if you have one handy.
