The first one sounded pretty good indeed. I was curious as to how you keep time when recording the initial tracks, metronome in the BR or do you have another means? I guess I ask as I did notice on the first melody the timing drifted slightly now and then. That said it is not something most would notice anyway, I am just curious as to your technique.

Otherwise the audio on both sound very good. Some simple noises that appear to be part of the instruments playing add some character to the piece as well. I like the bells in the second piece, very nice sound to them.

I play to the metronome on the BR but I don't try to play too perfectly because these are just mock ups to see how they sound before I go in the studio. I can both play and engineer better but I don't waste my time doing that on mere sketches.

Kinda figured that out after I posted. I wasnt paying attention that they were sketches.
