Hey guys...

Here's a band that really rocks! They are called Heroes for Ghosts and here is a song we just finished recording/mixing here at my studio TallCat.

Just thought I'd share this with you since I really dig these guys and they were great to work with.

yeah i need my guitars to sound more like those rhythm guitars.

i like the gaps in the song where only the singer and lead guitar continue playing.

i would lay money on the idea that that singer listens to stavesacre. which is cool, because no one listens to them, and they should!

Thanks guys.

Well, I know they're Pink Floyd fans along with some Tool for good measure... I'll ask about stavestacre.

How do you normally track guitars forty?

I wasn't able to check out the song, but that is a really cool name for a group, in my opinion.

yeah keep that mp3 up if you dont mind. i want it to listen to again and ill get it tonight. if youre dishing it out, that is.

my guitars are straight in from a pod. two different distortions, panned full left and full right. i know you miked cabinets for this sound, but i always look for ways to recreate it fakely.

please let me know if that guy listens to stavesacre. i heard him do certain things with his voice that ive only heard the stavesacre guy does (by the way, the stavesacre vocalist is really original, i think, in the way he articulates his words and the notes he chooses)

el Musico, just ago a chance to listen to this. Nice indeed, did you mix this one? I like the vox in parts almost sounding like another instrument, either on purpose or by accident its good.

I like the breakdown at about 4:30, really interesting part that kinda sneaks in. then ya get wacked with the guitar again. Nice arrangement indeed.

Oh ya, by the way. talcats page wasnt comign up when I tried it this afternoon.

Thanks Noize, the site is back up.

I didn't mix this myself, my partner did, although I threw in my 2 cents along the way from start to finish. We work as a production team to achieve the best results. This type of workflow works very well and word is spreading about us. It feels good.

Great guitar tone!!. You guys definately have the skills. Would love to be able to jump forward in time and use the skills I developed by then. I'm getting better but it can be a slow curve. Anyhow just wanted to say I like the recordings you post. Good stuff.

Great song, I really dig this. 'Heroes for Ghosts' did they get that from Wish you were here- Pink Floyd? I think that line comes up somewhere in that song.
