E-MU 1820 W/Adobe Audition -HELP!

Okay so I'm trying to run an E-MU 1820 with audition. It says it supporsts WDM and ASIO drivers and stuff, how can i make this work?

Adobe Audition does WDM only... EMU 1820 does WDM, sort of... 2 channel only. So you can record a 2 channel stereo, or 2 mono channels at once (but be sure you've selected the EMU as your "Preferred Recording" and "Playback Device")...

Here's an idea, tho, if you're wanting to record more than 2 at a time: the 1820 comes with some recording software (mine came with Cubase VST v5.1). Install that and use it to record in ASIO (follow the directions and tutorial from EMU to get it going!). Then, if you just "have" to have some feature of Adobe that Cubase (or whatever) doesn't have, import the wav files you recorded into Audition and go from there... easy, eh? (kind of sort of somewhat). After I've used Cubase, I do prefer it over my old CEP for most tasks.
