Just wondering, will i need to synch my 3 aardvarks up via. World clock? or will they synch internally?

Jul 19, 2005 07:46 pm Is it Word or World clock?
Jul 19, 2005 07:53 pm And has anyone experienced lowered fidelity and increased jitters by not using a stand alone synchroniser?
Is sync info carried within the digital signal and if so, can the aardvarks just be sync'd thru spidf and adjustments made to the internal clocks of ea aardvark?

ok from my experiance, we've got 3 ATAT machines that HAVE to be synced from an outboard machine....i think it's part of the ATAT protocol (not just the lightpipe, but also this cable that looks just like a computer display monitor's analog input)
i'm NOT gonna use the clock between the D8B (mixer/converter) and the ATAT input on my card.....although now that i typed that out, i think i changed my mind and will be using it!!!!
DOH!
as for the Aardvark, ummm i think it'd be a good idea, if ya think about it, word clocks are for syncing seperate outboard machines...so i don't think it'd hurt.
