Just seen U2 last week for the first time...

Great show, great band yet not a "tremendous" gig. A good gig for sure, but alas, not what I expected.

Whilst by most band standards it would be cosmic, for a super-group like U2, I dunno, I expected something stellar...but, it waas good.

At £115 for 2 tickets (about $200) it wasnt cheap but 22 songs, 2 hours, man, it was cool.

Some stage show...aye, they do rock for sure. Maybes I'll go again but I thinks, it'd need to be an out of this world album before I did.

That said, the current album is indeed cool. Highlight was tho, Where The Streets Have No Name, Still Havent Found What Im Looking For and Sometimes You Cant Make It On Your Own...2 of those songs are over 10 yrs old!!!

Anyways, woot to U2...great band.

Aye, twas good as I Say but not what I hoped/expected...pity really but I guess a group like U2 have sooooo much hype they could NEVER live up to it!

I'm not much of a U2 fan but they do have a few songs I really like. Great to hear you liked it and it was a good show, even if not steller, nothing like spending a ton of money on tickets and then have the band suck!

u2 was a great band early on, but i think their egos got way too big. im surpised you could get the edge and bono's heads into the same stadium/arena.

One thing about U2 (Bono especially) is that they are at least doing what then can to end world poverty. This might be part of their own agenda, but at least they are trying to do something about it.

U2 used General Motors Place in Vancouver for their tour rehersals. They booked the entire stadium for a month. I'm sure that this had a lot to do with the quality of the sound because it sure was outstanding when I saw them.
