Apr 01, 2005 05:41 pm what program are you using to record with? i'm assuming you're using some kinda plugin effect and wanna record the effect. if that's the case, i wouldn't record the effect, i'd just monitor it with the effect on. this is good for guitars and reamping.
sorry, not much help...

Apr 01, 2005 05:43 pm I think that "what you hear" is a SoundBlaster thing. From all of the trouble I see people having with that "feature", it's surprising to see somebody requesting to be able to do it.
Doesn't it record your input along with whatever is playing at the time? I must be missing something about why that would be useful. What is it that you're trying to accomplish?

selecting wave or record master does the same thing.
I used it along time ago when soundblaster had some great reverb effects but which couldn't be added to the sound any other way, so I used to playback the wave file with the effect running.
Apr 02, 2005 07:41 pm guys..
the thing is i'm using Adobe Audition to record my stuff with,
but the problem comes when i'm using some kinda synthesier program like Native instruments which you can use the MIDIOUT of your keyboard to get sounds from them,
these programms dont have the recording capability in them and they are compatible with few software, such as Sonar and Protools...
i dont have either of these recording softwares and i dont know how to work with em ..
so i was wishing to have the 'what u hear' thingy, so i could just play along and record.
and the wave/recording master doesnt work ..it records everything !
Apr 02, 2005 07:43 pm or no..maybe not 'what you hear' feature, more like Synth , or MIDI in the mixer ..
it doesnt have it ..
