How much better would things sound if i was running either a Mackie 1202 or 1402 as compared to a Behringer MX 2004A?

Mar 31, 2005 02:19 am I do not know how much better, but mx2004 eq's are crap
Mar 31, 2005 08:14 am I can't say much about the EQ's, as I rarely use an EQ on any mixing console. The Mackie vs. Behringer is an age old debate...I have heard both side by side, on some instruments Mackie is marginally better on extreme high end, such as drum cymbals and snare cracks, but as a whole, it's not nearly as much better as the price is higher...

Mar 31, 2005 09:56 pm Agree with dB here. I have also done a side by side, and the higher price tag does not justify the marginal differance. I honestly could afford a much higher priced desk but prefer to use the Behringer for the simple fact I can then put my saved dollars to better use in other places such as mics, compressor, or what have you.
