If you have some time i'd love to hear some critiques. Maybe some things you notice in the recordings that i could do to make them sound better. Also feel free to critique the songs themselves. Thanks!

I listened to "You Are". Really good song, I like the arrangement and the song as a whole. Great backing vocals. I really like the instrumental outro. I was really hoping for something like that when the solo started, and you came through.

The direct-recorded acoustic guitar always bugs and distracts me. I'd rather hear it recorded with a microphone instead of DI.

I also think that the bass and drums are too low in the mix, while the acoustic is too loud. Or maybe the acoustic just sounds too loud because the bass and drums are too low...not sure. The vocals could use a bit more high-end in the EQ, but I recognize their tone from the equipment that I use (I have the same problem with lack of definition in the vocals).

Overall, this is a great start with lots of potential. I can hear the early Radiohead influence...this could be a B-side to The Bends.

You Are was recorded direct (In fact, using a 1/4-1/8 peice of crap). Most of the other songs are through a B1 mixed with some DI

I'm listening to French Song.

First off, you sound like an American speaking french, which makes me laugh. I congratulate you on your ambition though. As for the song, I think you may want to try cutting a little of the highs on the guitar to give it a little more warmth. The vocals sound about right (in the mix) for the type of song it is, and the singing is mostly good (couple of spots where the pitch was slightly off). The guitar playing sounds good to me.

This is a nice melancholy song. I like it, but would probably like it better in English.
