I was wondering if theres any way to buy some breakout cables without a PCI card that go with a delta 1010lt. I'm pretty sure it's a 25 pin connector.
I need at least 4 XLR ins and stereo outs (preferably two of them, RCA and 1/4").
thanks

Mar 22, 2005 10:17 pm Maybe there's a way to go direct out of your mixer channels.
I see there's a pre-fader send on each channel of your Peavey mixer, and that there's an insert on each channel. Maybe you can go direct out of 4 channels from your mixer and adapt the 1/4" cable to whichever 4 inputs you can use on the Delta card? I have no idea if that will work but I'd say that it's worth a try.

Mar 22, 2005 10:33 pm i just wanted to get less extra noise by using XLR when i mic my drums. the more adapters you use, the more noise you're gonna get and i dont want noise. i could buy a XLR-RCA. (the breakout on the 1010lt has 2 XLR and the rest are RCA ins and outs).
thanks though

Mar 22, 2005 10:34 pm The 1010 lt comes with what is there. There are no options. And yes indeed, it may be a DB25 connector, but how it is wired internally is a whole differant ball game. Your kind of stuck with what they give you on that one. It would be a great card if it wasnt for all those RCA jacks. But that is why it is also priced way bellow what a normal 8 x 8 interface is.

Mar 22, 2005 10:36 pm i was planning on running the toms thru mon1, snare thru mon2, bass in L, and cymbals in R. or something of that order. i didnt want to run the outputs of two channels to RCA but i might have to.

Mar 22, 2005 10:36 pm Not a good idea using a converter to RCA from XLR. You will only induce even more noise as there will be no shield for the mic.

Mar 23, 2005 08:36 am I use the hosa 8 channel snake in the config like tadpui mentioned. I run 6 of them out of my mixer channel inserts, into the 6 rca ins on the delta 1010lt. it's only a 6 ft snake so there's very little (if any) introduced noise. They are 1/4" TR -> rca. Then I run the last two out of the delta outputs, back into the last stereo pair on the mixer, so I can monitor. Works great, and I've had my condensor mic on there with extrememly low noise.
