Behringer mixer schematics?

Hi,
sorry to bring up this long shot, but anyway:

I need schematics to the Behringer Eurorack MX2642A mixer.

If anyone happens to have this, or schematics to some other mid-sized Behringer mixer, please email me personally at mr_at_analogue_dot_org.

Thank you! :-)

User's manuals and spec sheets, yes...
but schematics?

The schematic for the mixer is in the manual! I owned a 2642A and now a 3283A and my manuals had the schematic. So I would assume the pdf file should as well.

No - That's a block diagram, not a schematic diagram!

cant you work it out from there? thats pretty comprehensive...all you need to work out is the required value of the components from there...

Are you kidding??? The block diagram doesn't show many of the components.

Oh well, my manuals that came with my desks had the block diagrams in them. I guess I would email Behringer and just ask for them.

Anyway, might I ask why the desperation in attempting to find the schematic's for this desk???

Personally, I just opened mine up and had at it. If you have the background to want to open it up, then you should be able to percieve what is in their.

Their desks are set up like most others in this price range. Modular, multichannel cards, interconnected through a main rail. Very nice for quick repairs if needed. Although I have never had a lick of trouble, other then spilling a coke in my old 2642.

I've already opened it up, and yes - it should be very possible to reverse-engineer parts of it if something needs to be fixed.
But I'm planning on both fixing some problems and making some improvements on the circuitry, and for that I'd really need the schematics... :-)

Well to be honest, their cirquits are laid out in pretty relative fashion. I simply followed them throughout the card to find what I needed.

I guess my suggestion then would be to hit google and try a few searchs. Unless you can convince Behringer to give up their designs. And I dont find that very likely anyway.

Another alternative is to hunt down someone familier with that type of cirquitry and see if they can do an eval for you and lay it all out.

I hate to be the bringer of bas tidings but the circuit diagrams of Behringer equipment is hard to come by. THere is a very good reason for this.

Most of the Behringer equipment is built on a PCB that uses surface mount components. Please note very carefully that to put a soldering iron near these components can bring tears and anguish if you are not extremely careful.

I have 2 x DX 1000 mixers that I am modifying for broadcast application and I have found through bitter experience that there are some mods that can be done and others that cannot.

I guess Behringer are taking the view that if people do not have the circuit diagrams they cannot get themselves into trouble. This is not a move I would recommend but I guess it has worked for them so far.

When you have to keep in mind is that the mixers are quite cheap.

And isn't it grand that they now own Midas!

I'm just waiting for the day that I call up to order a piece for the desks that my company owns, and being told that I'm not authorized to do that anymore. And I have to send the desk to them!

Yeah....... Because shipping a Heritage 3000 from Philly to Chicago is soooooo cheap!!!!!!

Uh, at least one more time . . .

Behringer owns Midas? Midas just put out a new live/studio (analog) desk (reviewed in SOS). Since when?

Sadly, since 2009.
