Trouble Recording From Keyboard...

hey... I just hooked up my keyboard to the computer through the audio out to the audio in... but i simply cant get it to record. any suggestions?

Umm, what software are you using to record in and what soundcard do you have?

I'm using Cakewalk right now with the standard Soundblaster card. I'm out of town for a couple months and i forgot to bring my MIDI cables. I hooked up a 1/4 jack to the line out of the keyboard and then a 1/8 straight to the soundcard. I dont know if this can work but it seems like it should...

start menu > volume control > options > recording > make sure there's a check in the line in.
