Aardvark Q10 track problem

I have a problem with my Q10s though and I can't seem to find anyone who has the same problem or anyone who knows how to fix it. I'm running 2 Q10s and they have worked fine in the past, but just the other day, I tried recording on all tracks on one Q10, and one on the other for drums. This has worked great in the past, but now tracks 7 and 8 will not record. I am using Adobe Audition. I changed the mics in 7 and 8 to 2 tracks on the other Q10. Then tracks 5 and 6 would not record. All of the mics work fine when I check the levels in the Aardvark Manager. Also, the tracks are getting all mixed up when they record, but are fine in the Manager. I tried reinstalling the driver but had no luck. Any ideas would be great.

What happens if you disconnect one of the Q10s? It sounds like a Audition Audition config problem, tho. You could try to uninstall and re-install the program.

Try uninstalling the driver, then before rebooting regedit and delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Aardvark

then reboot and reinstall.

Man Colonel, I've never heard a better idea.

Everyone else, I'm shocked you all responded so quickly, I'll try it out and get back to you.

Thank you

OK, so I tried what Sam said, but had no luck whatsoever, also, I reinstalled the program and tried a few different versions. Still...no dice.
Any more ideas?

Did you try using just one Q10? Completely disconnect the 2nd, change any configurations necessary, and see what happens. Shutdown & add the 2nd one, see what happens.

Audition is just like the Aardvark drivers (or any other program, for that matter), there are registry entries that get left behind and re-used when you re-install. See if the Adobe web site has any instructions on how to clean the registry of Audition settings after an un-install and try that again.

Something is confusing your software when the Aardvark sends its info. I'd say, it's not hardware if your Aardvark software says it looks fine. It's either Windows screwed it up (did you install any updates lately?), or Audition screwed it up (did your computer crash in the middle of a session?). If you've got WinXP, do a restore-point to the last good-known settings of Audition.

i used the 7.0 driver, from a disc that I found. The disc came with an aarkremove tool that cleared eveything aardvark from my computer, then, I went to the device manager, to sounds, and right clicked on my aardvarks, and clicked update driver, then rebooted. and now it works! thanks a lot to everyone that helped me out.

So, the Aarvark driver was sending the bad data for Audition to receive... Glad you're going.
