any tips on recording from fostex vl160 to adat ?

Hi there. Just wonderin if anybody has gone thru this? Think I saw an old post that mentioned "db" might have an adat.
Basically, we're gonna be recording this weekend using the fostex (all 16 trax at a time) and I'm bringin along an adat to take the stuff home and mix there.(sounds silly, I know. Its one of those band compromise type situations.) At the moment no one is set up w/pc recording gear,but I'm covered w/ adat and analogue stuff.
The problem is ,of course, gettin 16 trax downloaded onto an 8 track adat.
Any suggestions re:syncing the 2 adat tapes I'll be using will be GREATLY appreciated....
