well, we finished tracking guitars sunday for my friends band that i'm recording.....i don't wanna blow my own horn but it's sounding GOOOOOD!! i got a MASSIVE guitar sound without doubbling any parts (well that's not all true) all in all we're up to 26 tracks and still hafta track all the vocals...i can't stress how good these guitars sound, that "in your face" distortion that all the rocker/metal guys strive for....we did a "fluff" guitar track with little fills, and runs..but nobody "doubbled up" any of the parts. i've got the drum tracks home now and am trimming them and gettin' a basic mix. i'm kinda gettin' nervous because this'll tax my computer harder than i've ever pushed it (i could really use "track freeze" now) so far, she's takin' it like a champ though! the tom mikes rang everytime the drummer hit the kick...so they're "gated" i opted not to use some kinda gate plugin' and i hand trimmed the tracks. it's prolly gonna be a month before i can have anything for y'all to hear, but i might put a teaser up early. i really think this EP will hold it's own regionally.
