Is there a way to set tempo in midi through automation? At different parts in the song I would like to change the tempo of all the instruments which are all midi.

Also, just recently as I was inputing in the drum key editor in CubaseSx2 it started muting anything I put in. I highlited and pressed unmute but nothing.

I also get some weird errors like when opening a midi file up, sometimes the bass will be down a half step or the guitar part will sound like a bass, channel settings im sure.

Anyway, Thankyou Hrc

i know in Sonar you can set what's called a tempo map, i'm sure there's a way in Cubase.

I still cant figure it out ahh!

I have another question though.

And that is: How do I mixdown midi and audio into a track. I searched the forums and they said it was simple but i still cant get it, maybe im just slow :(

The midi is from the drum key editor. I just like using it to send into finale and vis versa due to the fact I have no midi keyboard.

Thanks again, Im here please respond :)

Hey, sorry, don't know how things work in Cubase. As for mixing down midi and audio to a new track, see if there is a bounce function.

You have to play the MIDI track while having a second track armed and recording the output of the MIDI track and/or involved devices. That's the sure way, tho it takes longer.

For any shortcuts that cubase may have, I have to say RTFM. I am sure Cubase has a shortcut such as freezing or bouncing.

dB got it spot on for sending the midi to an audio track. I am not sure Cubase has the functions we are used to in Sonar.

I didnt know Janet had a son, odd indeed.
